Feltis

Feltis are dry-needle felted ornaments handcrafted by women from rural and indigenous communities in northern Peru. Feltis are made of 100% sheep's wool.

Feltis were created as a vital component to the conservation of the Spectacled Bear in Peru’s endangered dry forest. A Canadian female researcher, Robyn Appleton, founded Spectacled Bear Conservation (SBC) after studying these little-known bears. A portion of the proceeds from each Felti go to SBC's programs that protect bears and their habitat.
